As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring and improving the quality of components across our supply chain, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to proactively prevent issues. This is a role where you’ll have real ownership, the freedom to drive improvements, and the chance to make a visible impact on product quality. Job Responsibility:
Responsible for the quality of parts and components delivered by suppliers
Monitor, analyze and report on supplier quality performance (such as PPM, complaints, and audit results)
Handle and follow up on supplier complaints and quality issues by using the 8D methodology
Initiate, supervise and ensure corrective and preventive measures are implemented by suppliers
Evaluate and release new products and components (e.g., PPAP/FAI)
Supervise APQP processes for new suppliers and product changes
Assess process control and process capability (SPC, CP/CPK) at suppliers
Conduct (process) audits at suppliers and follow up on improvement actions
Collaborate with Purchasing and Engineering on supplier selection, escalations, and changes
Perform data analysis
Lead quality-related improvement processes
Requirements:
HBO/Bachelor working and thinking level, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Industrial Engineering & Management, or similar
Good communication skills and persuasiveness with suppliers
Good written and spoken command of Dutch and English
At least 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience in a quality role within a production or manufacturing environment
Experience with quality systems and methods such as 8D, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, AQL, and ISO 9001
Experience with measuring instruments and equipment (e.g. Keyence) or willingness to learn
Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into concrete improvement actions
Ability to work independently, but also collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Flexible, driven, and results-oriented towards achieving quality objectives and KPI’s
Hands-on mentality with a proactive and solution-oriented approach
Nice to have:
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, or Continuous Improvement is a plus
