Job Description

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring and improving the quality of components across our supply chain, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to proactively prevent issues. This is a role where you’ll have real ownership, the freedom to drive improvements, and the chance to make a visible impact on product quality. You’ll join a supportive Quality team, develop your expertise with modern tools and processes, and grow in an environment where your ideas genuinely matter.

Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for the quality of parts and components delivered by suppliers
  • Monitor, analyze and report on supplier quality performance (such as PPM, complaints, and audit results)
  • Handle and follow up on supplier complaints and quality issues by using the 8D methodology
  • Initiate, supervise and ensure corrective and preventive measures are implemented by suppliers
  • Evaluate and release new products and components (e.g., PPAP/FAI)
  • Supervise APQP processes for new suppliers and product changes
  • Assess process control and process capability (SPC, CP/CPK) at suppliers
  • Conduct (process) audits at suppliers and follow up on improvement actions
  • Collaborate with Purchasing and Engineering on supplier selection, escalations, and changes
  • Perform data analysis
  • Lead quality-related improvement processes

Requirements

  • HBO/Bachelor working and thinking level, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Industrial Engineering & Management, or similar
  • Good communication skills and persuasiveness with suppliers
  • Good written and spoken command of Dutch and English
  • At least 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience in a quality role within a production or manufacturing environment
  • Experience with quality systems and methods such as 8D, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, AQL, and ISO 9001
  • Experience with measuring instruments and equipment (e.g. Keyence) or willingness to learn
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into concrete improvement actions
  • Ability to work independently, but also collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Flexible, driven, and results-oriented towards achieving quality objectives and KPI’s
  • Hands-on mentality with a proactive and solution-oriented approach

Nice to have

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, or Continuous Improvement is a plus
