Job Description:

Contain, manage and resolve Quality issues relating to supplier non-conforming components identified at Aero-Derivative Gas Turbine (AGT) Siemens Energy assembly facilities, warehouses or customers globally.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage suppliers to properly handle non-conformance issues
  • Assist with process improvements
  • Lead supplier root cause investigations and corrective actions through Problem Resolution process
  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing capability issues within the supply chain to ensure business continuity
  • Identify and support cost reduction opportunities through interaction with the Supply Chain/Strategic Business
  • Audit existing suppliers to determine capability of manufacturing and ensure quality systems are in place

Requirements:

  • Technical training or further education in quality, mechanical, or electrical engineering
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO9001), Supplier Quality Management (SQM) and Quality Control routines
  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of drawing interpretation (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with design engineering organization to ensure parts are manufacturable
  • Proven ability to manage multi-problem investigations simultaneously
  • Self-motivated attitude and ownership of projects
  • Ability to project manage Product and Process Qualifications and unexpected Supplier Quality Issues from beginning to end
  • Knowledge of inspection methodologies and assessment of inspection capability

Nice to have:

  • Experience or working with critical parts
  • Proven track record of application of Quality improvement processes and tools (e.g. 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa)
  • SAP experience
  • French speaking candidates are a plus
