Join ResMed as a Supplier Quality Engineer within our Mechanical Supplier Engineering team, where you'll apply your mechanical expertise across a variety of components—including critical areas such as plastic injection and liquid silicone molding, print and pack, soft goods, labelling, boxing, and packaging—to help ensure our products meet the highest quality standards.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate closely with Supply Chain Engineering, Product Development, Planning and GSA to ensure timely delivery of quality materials for company product manufacturing
Validate Supplier Processes as part of New Product Introduction (NPI), Engineering Change Note (ECNs) and/or Supplier Change Requests (SCRs)
Foster effective relationships with internal departments and external suppliers
Communicate Resmed’s product specifications and quality expectations to suppliers and evaluate their capability to meet them
Ensure compliance with documentation standards including GDP and internal quality processes
Provide technical advice and guidance to suppliers to reduce defect rates
Review incoming supplies and finished goods from vendors, investigating defects and driving resolution through complaint and CAPA management
Conduct supplier evaluations and participate in regular audits to ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory standards
Contribute technical expertise to cross-functional projects and occasionally lead project teams or mentor graduate engineers
Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical / Electro-mechanical engineering or related discipline
5+ years of functional engineering experience within manufacturing as a Manufacturing, Process, Quality or Industrial Engineer
Excellent analytical and technical skills with strong attention to detail
Highly motivated and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Willingness to travel domestically & internationally
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Strong team player with a proactive, solution-driven mindset
Nice to have:
Training & experience in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kepner-Tregoe and APQP tools & methodologies
Strong knowledge of GD&T
Experience in operating within highly regulated industry – preferably medical device industry
Experience in use of statistical tools (SPC, Gage R&R, Minitab or JMP)
Project Management methods and techniques and applying consulting skills
Negotiation capabilities to influence supplier improvements
