Job Description

In this role you will work in a dynamic environment with a relentless focus on improving our quality metrics by leveraging your strong problem solving and continuous improvement skills. In this highly visible role you will lead Supplier Quality and support internal departments and our supplier network to achieve high quality products. A typical day will consist of a myriad of partner (supplier) quality centric activities from concept to full rate production within Quality Assurance. You will serve a number of internal and external groups including our DFM Engineering, Quality, Case Management, Partner Management and our wide variety of partners that specialize in CNC, Sheet Metal, Additive, and Injection Molding.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform onsite physical and paperwork inspections at Partner facilities
  • Conduct partner audits and onboarding activities
  • Initiate and manage partner product Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA)
  • Develop and take actions of partner systemic RMA trends leading to CAPAs
  • Continuously monitor and address emerging issues while ensuring the most important projects/issues are identified through the Partner Quality Team process and effectively complete those projects in the shortest time possible
  • Facilitates cross-functional Team optimization efforts and workshops geared towards NCR/RMA reductions with Partners
  • Participates in real-time Partner RMA reviews with the end goal of applying lessons learned to the distributed Supplier Network
  • Facilitate Partner Quality Support Hour
  • Provide technical support to Partners regarding quality
  • Work with Partner Management on Partner Onboarding escalations
  • Review Partner Deviation Requests
  • Utilize BIG Data Analytics to improve performance trends and top opportunities with Partners
  • Create a trusting partnership with the distributed network of Partners resulting in exceptional quality
  • Escalate nonconformities in the Quality System to VP of Quality where appropriate
  • Develop quality planning/objectives, metrics and goals
  • lead efforts related to the Xometry’s Quality Vision with Partners
  • Support Quality initiatives to drive systemic improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in engineering, quality role, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in supplier facing role or equivalent
  • Strong Quality Assurance / Partner Development experience
  • Experience with APQP and DFM/DFQ
  • Use of various lab equipment: GD&T tools
  • Customer quality liaison experience
  • Mechanical/Manufacturing processing knowledge
  • Able to read and interpret drawings/specifications
  • Good time management / project management capabilities
  • Understanding of Six Sigma methodologies
  • Knowledge of Process Certification/Process Robustness
  • Certified Auditor for ISO Standards
  • Ability to travel up to 50% in CA only
