Job Responsibility:
Implement tools and processes to insure suppliers starting new work are prepared and have robust plans to deliver first time quality to BAE program customers
Investigate, evaluate, and resolve supplier quality problems by conducting audits, analyzing defect trends, and leading continuous improvement projects
Conduct capability assessments that verify supplier qualifications, travel to assigned suppliers, and lead multiple projects to completion
Utilize analytical skills to find innovative solutions to quality-related issues
Use strong communication skills to insure suppliers understand requirements and expectations, make progress reports and present findings
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technical field and 2-4+ years of experience or 6-8+ years of experience in lieu of degree
Experience with electrical/mechanical inspections, product test, equipment and instrumentation
Working knowledge of supply chain logistics from raw material to finished goods including experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system/Quality Management Software system
Proficiency with Minitab or similar software package
Experience with APQP & PPAP requirements and implementation or equivalent automotive standards
Experience with Special Processes, Product Production Line Validation, test, equipment, and instrumentation
Nice to have:
Bachelor's Degree
Working knowledge of and/or certification to J-STD-001
Experience and/or certification to MIL-STD-883 Test Methods 2010, 2017, and 2032 Pre-cap internal visual inspection
Experience with optical and/or microwave inspections, product test, equipment and instrumentation
Working knowledge of PWB/CCA Inspection/test, equipment and instrumentation . (IPC-A-600)
Experience with microwave and / or printed circuit board commodities
