Our projects At the Engineering Competence Center, we deliver services and projects for the Automotive, Rail, and Oil & Gas sectors. Our specialized engineering teams work within project and competency groups, whose activities we manage. We also conduct training and certification programs to enhance the engineering competencies of our consultants. Position We are currently looking for a candidate for the position of Supplier Quality Development Engineer (he/she) for our client from the automotive industry. Additional information You’ll join an international Tier 1 automotive supplier – a global leader in fuel systems, exterior components, and clean energy solutions (including hydrogen technologies). As a Supplier Quality Development Engineer (SQDE), you’ll own the quality of purchased BOM components from prototype phase through PPAP validation (up to 6 months after Start of Production), working closely with suppliers across Europe. The role is based in Kraków or Lublin and involves regular travel to supplier sites for audits and on-site reviews. Offered salary Salary: from 80 to 105 PLN net/hour, depending on experience and competences.

Job Responsibility

  • Coordinating supplier quality activities within APQP/PPAP from prototype phase to SOP
  • Conducting supplier risk assessments and participating in component sourcing and validation
  • Performing process audits and overseeing the implementation of corrective actions
  • Monitoring PPAP timing and status against the project schedule
  • Collaborating with quality, purchasing, engineering, and production teams, and supporting suppliers on quality requirements
  • Verifying, approving, and archiving quality documentation and PPAP samples

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive (OEM or Tier 1) in a quality or engineering role
  • At least 2 years in Supplier Quality (SQE, SQDE, or similar)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field (Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering preferred)
  • Know APQP and PPAP processes
  • Can read technical drawings and know GD&T
  • Experience with MSA and statistical methodologies
  • Communicate confidently in English across all levels of the organization
  • Open to travelling to supplier sites for audits and on-site reviews

Nice to have

  • ASQ certifications (CQE or CQA)
  • Experience with plastic components, fuel systems, or hydrogen / clean energy technologies
  • Knowledge of Lean, VA/VE, and root cause analysis methods (8D, Ishikawa, 5 Why)
  • Second foreign language (French or German)
