Job Description:

The Supplier Quality Associate Manager ensures that the products and materials received from our supplier base meets or exceeds both Arrows and our customer quality standards. The role is based in Asia and is predominately focused on electronic components and systems. This role involves managing supplier relationships, monitoring supplier performance, conducting quality assessments, successful maintenance of Arrow external certification accreditation (ISO) and driving supplier performance improvements through SCARs and 8D.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage the supplier quality activity across the Asia region. Maintain and continually improve Arrow’s quality system, using data to define opportunities for improvement. Support ISO 9001, AS 9120, AS 9100, ISO 13485 and TS 16949 certifications
  • Follow and manage Arrow’s internal supplier quality documentation process and support internal and external supplier quality audit program
  • Support regional supplier on-boarding process and liaise with supplier product marketing and supplier management group
  • For identified suppliers , perform applicable on-site process and QMS audits to reduce non-conforming material. Act as an escalation level in support of the regional warehouses on due to supplier errors
  • receiving documentation errors, packaging issues, damaged, non-conforming or wrong parts
  • Drive down defects impacting our end customer by monitoring customer complaints and driving supplier root cause analysis, corrective action and verification of effectiveness for non-conforming product
  • Applying your engineering background to review, critique and evaluate supplier 8D/CAPA documentation Generate monthly KPIs in line with Arrow’s Quality Enterprise group targets and support strategic projects and yearly Hoshin planning for Asia region
  • Present to senior management and stakeholders supplier performance results as applicable. Monitor supplier quarterly performance in line with Arrow supplier quality procedures, generate and present supplier quarterly scorecards to identified suppliers with the aim of improving performance

Requirements:

  • Competent in both written and verbal English
  • Demonstrable knowledge of quality engineering and manufacturing processes with the ability to solve complex problems
  • Technical understanding of electronic systems, components and a proven track-record in supplier quality management
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and standards
  • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (8D, Kaizan, Reporting tools, SCAR)
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills and an eye for supply quality control
  • Strong communication skills for supplier interaction and cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to travel in Asia region and to Arrow’s main hubs in Hong Kong and Malaysia
  • Electronic/Electrical Engineer Degree - Typically requires a 4 year degree and a minimum of 5 - 7 years of related experience
  • Self-starter that is able to develop a supplier quality program in Asia with a moderate level of guidance and direction
