Job Description

This position will be based out of Bangalore, directly reporting to Supplier Quality Manager in India, and closely collaborating with Supplier and Global stakeholders (Supply Chain, Product Group, Manufacturing). This individual would be responsible for managing and executing critical projects, continuous improvement (CI) initiatives, and meeting Quality metrics of Value-Added Frames & Power Box commodities.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage assigned suppliers in the Powerbox and Value‑Added Assembly/Frames commodity to ensure delivery of expected quality and adherence to timelines
  • Assess the impact of internal and external non‑conformances and lead problem‑solving activities with suppliers to drive root‑cause identification and corrective actions that prevent recurrence
  • Support suppliers in preparing and executing 8D (RCCA), First Article submissions, Process of Record documentation (PPAP), and resolving Supplier Deviations and Engineering Queries
  • Drive supplier improvement through virtual assessments, scorecard management, and support for supplier qualification processes
  • Review supplier manufacturing processes and collaborate with them to identify and implement process‑improvement opportunities
  • Work closely with Supply Chain and Engineering teams to identify business‑value enhancement opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s /Master's degree in Mech/Production/Automotive/Industrial Engineering
  • Work experience of min. 8 years for Bachelor’s degree and min. 6 years of experience for Master degree
  • Extensive hands‑on expertise in resolving quality issues across mechanical assemblies, electromechanical systems, sheet‑metal parts, and weldments
  • Skilled in structured problem‑solving tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, and DOE
  • Strong capability in understanding critical requirements for mechanical assembly and fabrication
  • Thorough knowledge of supplier QMS assessments, annual quality planning, and execution of improvement initiatives
  • Holds certifications in supplier audits, welding inspection (AWS/EN), and IPC‑620

Nice to have

  • Strong understanding of complex mechanical assembly, wiring harness integration, and metal fabrication technologies
  • Hands‑on experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, including conducting onsite source inspections and audits
  • Experienced in SAP and other enterprise database systems for quality and supplier data management
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication (written and verbal) and delivering effective presentations
