We at Boeing Supply Chain are currently looking for Supplier Program Mgmt to join our team in Bangalore, India. We are a team of Supply chain professionals in India who support the Program Management / Execution of Boeing Statement of Work / Operational activities for all three business units of Boeing, closely collaborating with Procurement Agent and other cross functional stake holders. This team seeks a highly skilled and motivated individual who can support commodities including but are not limited to : Systems, Avionics, Power Distribution Panels, Electrical & Mechanical Standards parts, Structures & Structural Assemblies and Machined/sheet metal parts. This position requires a highly motivated professional to work through the supply chain and manufacturing operations process and manage both pre- and post-award activities including supplier development, work transfer support, work movement assessments, contract execution and supplier performance management.
Job Responsibility:
Perform supplier capability assessment for Boeing Statement of Work across commodities by evaluating infrastructure, manufacturing processes, special processes, testing capabilities, leading to supplier recommendation/on-boarding
Identify supplier capability gaps, if any and work with suppliers to help bridge the gaps
Monitors supplier’s performance-to-plan to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and provides status back to procurement agent and other cross-functional stakeholders
Identifies, establishes, and maintains priorities for deliveries of products and services, meeting safety and quality requirements and ensure contractual compliance
Analyze data that supports necessary supplier corrective actions and issue resolution
Communicates across functions to report status and concerns
Engage with the supplier to develop a recovery plan in case of execution delays and unplanned demand requirements
Participates with the procurement agent in on-site supplier assessments including rate readiness, capacity assessment, PRA & PMR
Compile and analyze supplier performance data
Review key supplier and internal risk indicators to identify potential supplier performance issues and develop mitigation plan
Research and identify most probable adverse indicators
Elevate issues for resolution appropriately
Identifies needs for training in business and manufacturing practices to supplier personnel for improvement of quality and delivery performance
Consolidate data and prepare reports and presentations in support of program management reviews
Create collaborative partnership with suppliers and Supplier Management to develop risk, issue and opportunity plans
Develop supplier recovery plans and line of balance (LOB) to support unplanned demand requirements
Requirements:
Strong Oral and Written communication
Aerospace background
Microsoft office
Technical bachelor’s degree in mechanical / production engineering and typically 8 to 12 years related work experience OR a Master's degree with typically 7+ years or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
A technical degree is defined as any four-year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study
Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required
Nice to have:
Bachelor degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Mechanical, Aerospace, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
Program management
Manufacturing Process/Operations
Experience in Avionics product line including but not limited to cockpit panels, computing hardware, displays, power systems, power distribution panels, PCBAs, wire harness assemblies, electro-mechanical actuation system etc. and thorough knowledge of Assembly-Integration-Testing requirements
Understanding of calibration and testing of various Avionics system and electrical / electronic / instrumentation sub-assemblies & systems, and Ground Support Equipment
Exposure to Aerospace standards like DO-160, DO-254 & DO-178
Experience in communication systems including antennas and radar systems
Hands on experience in Aircraft parts manufacturing & its processes
Candidate shall be familiar with the standards defined by the FAA and other regulatory bodies and should have good understanding of certification requirements
Experience in New Product Introduction, FAI’s, Product and Process Qualification in Aerospace segment
Understanding of Statistical Process Capability, Process automation, Digital manufacturing techniques
Experience in leading/ supporting quality & process excellence effort including APQP, Kaizen, Fishbone Analysis, 8D, A3
Understanding / Knowledge of Statistical Analysis, Process automation, IoT / Digital manufacturing techniques, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Systems , Industry 4.0
