Job Description

The Supplier Performance Manager leads a global team of supplier performance professionals while also directly managing a portfolio of strategic suppliers. The role owns supplier performance standards, key metrics, and escalation management, working cross-functionally to identify risks and drive corrective actions when supplier commitments are not met. As the senior interface between Markem-Imaje and its suppliers on performance, the Supplier Performance Manager ensures alignment on capacity, lead times, and execution capability. The role manages and develops a structured supplier engagement and disciplined performance management process. This is expected to strengthen supply-chain resilience, improve responsiveness, and positively influence customer service outcomes.

Job Responsibility

  • Own global supplier performance outcomes, ensuring consistent targets, governance, and escalation practices across all supplier portfolios
  • Act as the senior escalation point for critical supplier performance issues, driving timely decisions and effective cross functional mitigation actions
  • Lead global supplier performance and capacity review cadence to align supplier commitments with demand forecast and Sales & Operational Planning priorities
  • Coordinate cross-functional recovery actions across planning, procurement, operations, and logistics to protect customer service
  • Provide strategic oversight of supplier end-of-life, last-time-buy, and transition risks to minimise disruption and inventory exposure
  • Embed supplier performance insights into planning, inventory, and phase-out decisions to strengthen supply-chain resilience
  • Develop, coordinate, and motivate a global team of supplier performance professionals, ensuring clear accountability, engagement, and capability development

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field required
  • Proven experience in supplier performance management, procurement, or sourcing within a global supply-chain environment
  • 4+ years of leadership experience in a global organization
  • Strong influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive outcomes without direct authority
  • Solid background in supplier relationship management, performance governance, and issue resolution
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to support decision making
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and reporting tools expected
  • Fluent English and Polish communication skills (written and verbal) are required
