Supplier Development Engineers play a critical role in ensuring world-class quality across Husco’s supply base by designing and implementing effective quality control and inspection systems. They evaluate supplier design, assembly, and manufacturing processes to build and sustain long-term capability. Successful candidates are self-motivated problem solvers who thrive in a fast-paced environment, respond well under pressure, and manage multiple priorities with confidence.
Job Responsibility:
Take a leading role in new program development through active participation in Design and Process FMEA’s
Lead DPAR meetings for supplied components and assemblies during New Product Introductions and drive solution of all identified issues
Ensure all supplier PPAPs are accurate, complete, approved, and properly documented
Collaborate with Purchasing and Engineering to develop and manage a global supply base achieving target quality levels at or below expected cost
Conduct process and system audits for new and existing suppliers, including the development and management of probationary suppliers
Identify, understand, and communicate non-conformances per the NCR process
Complete root cause analysis in combination with supplier to ensure issues and extend of condition are addressed and resolved
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent required
Knowledge of hydraulic valves, iron castings, machining operations, electrical components, and metal fabrication preferred
Effective troubleshooting, problem solving, and organizational skills required
Authorized to work in the United States
