Job Description:

Supplier Development Engineers play a critical role in ensuring world-class quality across Husco’s supply base by designing and implementing effective quality control and inspection systems. They evaluate supplier design, assembly, and manufacturing processes to build and sustain long-term capability. Successful candidates are self-motivated problem solvers who thrive in a fast-paced environment, respond well under pressure, and manage multiple priorities with confidence.

Job Responsibility:

  • Take a leading role in new program development through active participation in Design and Process FMEA’s
  • Lead DPAR meetings for supplied components and assemblies during New Product Introductions and drive solution of all identified issues
  • Ensure all supplier PPAPs are accurate, complete, approved, and properly documented
  • Collaborate with Purchasing and Engineering to develop and manage a global supply base achieving target quality levels at or below expected cost
  • Conduct process and system audits for new and existing suppliers, including the development and management of probationary suppliers
  • Identify, understand, and communicate non-conformances per the NCR process
  • Complete root cause analysis in combination with supplier to ensure issues and extend of condition are addressed and resolved

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent required
  • Knowledge of hydraulic valves, iron castings, machining operations, electrical components, and metal fabrication preferred
  • Effective troubleshooting, problem solving, and organizational skills required
  • Authorized to work in the United States
