Job Description

The Supplier Development Engineer _ Mechanical will be responsible and implement quality initiatives. Manage and document the activities between company and suppliers on all product quality issues. This position is a key partner to ensure accountability and quality performance from our suppliers. Key success measurements include the ability to effectively work with suppliers, and manage supplier quality from prototype sample stage, qualification to end-of-life for assigned products.

Job Responsibility

  • Evaluate and audit new supplier
  • Monitor/Manage supplier APQP process to ensure the successful launch of new project
  • Monitor supplier quality performance
  • Implement annual audit plan for suppliers
  • Develop and push suppliers for continuous improvement
  • Verify supplier corrective action effectiveness
  • Maintain supplier Quality Agreement signing & update in order to ensure suppliers' quality control system meet company's quality requirement
  • Make the EPC (early production containment) plan to ensure safe launch when ramp-up
  • Review and approve PPAP
  • Submit monthly quality report for responsible materials & suppliers in order to reflect suppliers' quality performance
  • Monitor /support the 4M change from supplier side
  • Another job assigned by manager

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Automation, Mechanical is better
  • 3+ years of SDE experience at Auto industrial. Fully experience of supplier new project development at complex end components
  • Trained VDA 6.3 auditor
  • Familiar with machining ,cold forming, forging ,casting, assembly parts manufacturing process
  • Familiar with 5 core tools, APQP,PPAP,FMEA, MSA,SPC
  • Full experience of problem solving, cooperate with global function team investigation in case need
  • Quality Management System tools and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Interpreting Engineering Drawings, familiar of GD&T
  • Highly developed relationship-building skills, and strong presentation and communication skills
  • Experience working positively and productively in a team environment. Highly collaborative
  • Experienced user in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word required
  • Must be able to complete job responsibilities working with global time zone needs such as attending late night/early morning meetings by phone and/or web to meet global business needs
  • English can be a working language
  • Six sigma green belt is a plus
