Baptist Downtown is looking to add a Supervisory Fellow Chaplain to our Spiritual Services Department. This is a Full Time opportunity. We are seeking a Certified Educator Candidate (CEC) to join our ACPE-accredited Clinical Pastoral Education program. The CEC will work under the supervision of a Certified Educator while gaining advanced training toward full ACPE Educator certification. The Supervisory Fellow will engage in the Baptist Health Certified Educator Candidate program and comply with the Standards and Objectives of the ACPE.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide direct supervision to or observe the education of chaplain interns and/or residents depending on the relevant phase of the curriculum
  • Provide spiritual care to patients, family and staff
  • Participate in the 24/7 in house on call rotation until the CEC is actively supervising interns and/or residents
  • Actively participate in departmental events and committees
  • Support and co-facilitate educational sessions, group reflections, and curriculum components for CPE students
  • Provide supervised teaching, guidance, and evaluation of students in collaboration with the Certified Educator
  • Deliver high-quality pastoral care within the clinical setting
  • Assist with curriculum development, program planning, and learning assessments
  • Participate in ongoing professional formation, supervision, and evaluation as required by ACPE standards

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree
  • 3-5 Years Clinical Chaplain Experience Required
  • Ecclesiastical Endorsement for Specialized Ministry Preferred
  • Ordained Minister Preferred
  • Licensed Minister Preferred
