Job Description

To coordinate, control, and supervise day‑to‑day workshop and site operations in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner, ensuring planned activities are delivered to programme, specification, and quality requirements. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all fabrication, maintenance, refurbishment, installation, and preparation activities are carried out safely and in full compliance with approved RAMS, Safe Systems of Work (SSoW), quality standards, and client requirements, whether operating within the workshop environment or on site. The role requires visible, active supervision, strong safety leadership, and effective coordination of people, equipment, materials, and documentation across both environments.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure that all fabrication, maintenance, refurbishment, installation, and preparation activities are carried out safely and in full compliance with approved RAMS, Safe Systems of Work (SSoW), quality standards, and client requirements
  • Visible, active supervision, strong safety leadership, and effective coordination of people, equipment, materials, and documentation across both environments

  • Trade qualification at RQF level 2 (ONC) or higher - Essential
  • SMSTS - Essential
  • CSCS Supervisor Level - Essential
  • IOSH Managing Safely - Essential
  • IOSH Managing Safely in Construction - Desirable
  • NVQ Level 4 Diploma in Construction Site Supervision - Desirable
  • Proven experience of supervising multi-disciplined teams in a nuclear environment - Desirable
  • Experience of supervising in a construction / fabrication environment - Essential
  • Proven experience of understanding and interpreting fabrication drawings - Essential
  • Working knowledge of safety, quality and environmental management - Essential
  • Able to draft and review SSoW - Essential
