The purpose of this role is to work closely with and supervise the team on the shop floor on a daily basis, driving sales, coaching and mentoring in order to ensure the achievement of set sales and profit targets for the store. As well as acting as the role model on the shop floor in terms of sales and customer service, this role includes training and developing the team in order to deliver budget goals and customer service excellence, as well as ensuring the visual merchandise presentation reflects the brand vision and meets the highest standards possible. Strong relationships with clients, the sales team and the local business community must be built and maintained. On occasion the role will be required to assume some duties of Store Management when they are out of the business, ensuring the store is run to the highest standards and operational efficiency. This role is on a 40-hour per-week contract.
Job Responsibility:
Work closely with and supervise the team on the shop floor on a daily basis

Assume some duties of Store Management when they are out of the business
Ensure the store is run to the highest standards and operational efficiency
Ensure the client is the main focus for the staff at all times
Ensure team are fully conversant with all products and services
Create a dynamic and positive team to maintain an environment conducive to generating sales
Ensure team are fully conversant with the history of Belstaff
Be up to date on local events and current affairs and communicate this to the team
Develop and ensure good internal customer service with all other Belstaff Stores and Head Office
Deal with complaints effectively & efficiently in line with Company policy
Ensure customer service levels consistently meet and exceed company expectations
Ensure the team anticipate and respond to client needs
Oversee and provide training and coaching to ensure outstanding customer service standards
Ensure efficiency in after sales services
Confidently cross sell across all product offers in store
Understand Belstaff’s Brand and International positioning
Achieve individual and store set sales targets on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Understand and monitor weekly and monthly product sell through
Reporting daily, weekly and monthly to Store Manager on sales patterns
Achieve KPI targets, and personal objectives
Optimise sales by ensuring the team consistently attract new clients and develop the existing client base
Ensure the team proactively captures customer data after each sale
Ensure the team builds and maintains a personal client book
Ensure stock levels are maximised on the shop floor
Promote key products and maintain an up to date awareness of current press and editorial
Assist in the planning and co-ordination of in-store promotional events
Oversee training and coaching to ensure all sales consultants achieve sales standards
Motivate and actively encourage all sales consultants to meet targets
Exceed personal monthly KPIs
Be aware of and assist in the achievement of Store KPI’s
Oversee/actively encourage and ensure all sales consultants achieve personal and store KPI’s
Meet with team and Store Manager on a monthly basis to discuss progression
Ensure that the merchandising is in line with the Belstaff image and commercial objectives
Ensure that stock is correctly labelled, tagged and available on the shop floor
Ensure that the stock is in the best possible condition for sale
Maintain the teams understanding of the company policy on VM standards
Ensure high standards of housekeeping are maintained
Ensure any administrative aspects of the job are carried out and completed within required timelines
Understand how to complete specific management admin tasks
Hold regular team briefing sessions
Ensure communication flow with Team and Store Management
Be continually aware of all company communications
Daily task planning & ensuring completion of tasks by self and other staff
Understand how to produce monthly staffing schedules
Be aware of and follow all company rules and HSE legislation
Ensure that the team are aware of and follow all company rules and HSE legislation
Be aware of Company, Store Security, cash handling and key holding procedures
Ensure team are aware of how to use tagging & other security systems
Ensure that all stock is protected at all times
Be alert to the possibility of theft
Enforce the standards of storing stock on the shop-floor and back of house
Participate in and co-ordinate all audits and counts
Ensure minimal shrinkage according to targets set
Respond to any reasonable request by Management
Undertake such further duties as skills allow
Requirements:
Experience in supervising a team on a shop floor
Ability to drive sales and achieve sales targets
Experience in coaching and mentoring a sales team
Strong customer service skills in premium/luxury retail
Knowledge of visual merchandising standards
Ability to handle administrative tasks and reports
Understanding of health and safety legislation
Experience in stock management and security procedures
Ability to build and maintain client relationships
Knowledge of local events and current affairs
Ability to handle customer complaints effectively
Experience in training and developing a team
Ability to motivate a sales team
Understanding of financial targets and KPIs
Ability to run a store in the absence of the Store Manager
