We are looking for a friendly and reliable Supervisor to join our team, the Supervisor ensures the smooth daily operation of the day by leading the team, maintaining high-quality service standards, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. They act as the 'manager on duty,' supporting staff, managing inventory, and handling customer needs to drive profitability and customer loyalty.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring the premises is secure, clean, and ready for business
Manage staff workflow, delegating tasks effectively to optimize service during peak hours
Ensure all equipment (espresso machines, grinders, brewers) is properly functioning, and report maintenance issues promptly
Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and health regulations
Train new hires and provide ongoing coaching to baristas on drink preparation, customer service, and POS operations
Motivate the team to maintain high energy and provide friendly service
Assist in creating employee rotas and ensuring adequate coverage for shifts
Act as the primary point of contact for resolving customer queries and complaints promptly
Uphold quality standards for all coffee beverages, food, and products served
Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all guests
Perform stock checks and assist with ordering inventory to minimize waste
Manage cash handling, including auditing cash drawers, reconciling daily sales, and preparing bank deposits
Maximize catering sales by ensuring attractive merchandising of food items
Requirements:
Minimum 1–2 years in a fast-paced café, restaurant, or retail environment, with previous supervisory experience preferred
Proven proficiency in operating commercial espresso machines and preparing specialty coffee drinks
Strong communication skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and coach a team
Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to handle conflict resolution professionally
Experience with POS systems and basic math skills for cash management
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and early mornings
Ability to stand and walk for long periods (up to 8 hours)
Ability to lift up to 30-50 lbs (milk crates, coffee bags, etc.)
Eligibility to work in the UK
