Job Description

Saunders Aqua Metro is seeking an experienced Supervisor to lead site delivery of water infrastructure projects across Melbourne. This hands-on, site-based role is perfect for construction professionals who excel at managing teams, maintaining safety standards, and driving project delivery from planning through to completion.

Job Responsibility

  • Implement Safety, Quality and Environmental systems from planning through to site delivery
  • Conduct worksite safety, quality and environmental inspections
  • Perform Quality Assurance (QA) worksite inspections with client representatives
  • Develop and deliver concise daily prestart meetings with all site personnel/subcontractors
  • Coordinate and supervise trade labour, plant & equipment and material deliveries
  • Assist with development of construction delivery programs and drive projects accordingly
  • Apply on-the-spot problem-solving solutions to day-to-day construction challenges
  • Ensure timely completion of tasks and effective allocation of resources
  • Maintain records of competency for site staff, subcontractors and VOC process
  • Present neat documentation and correspondence
  • Maintain detailed daily site records
  • Follow Saunders Aqua Metro's company processes and procedures
  • Provide technical and logistical support to trade subcontractors
  • Communicate daily with management for thorough status updates
  • Report to management regularly with progress updates
  • Communicate with client, internal and external stakeholders as required
  • Foster collaborative environment with transparent communication

Requirements

  • Must be based in the Melbourne area
  • Qualifications/background in building/construction industry
  • Driver's licence
  • Civil Construction industry white card
  • Confined Space certification
  • First Aid certification
  • Previous supervisory experience within the construction industry
  • Experience in Civil/Mechanical/Water Industry sectors
  • Strong leadership abilities
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team management capability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
