Job Responsibility:
Lead the day to day operation of the Warehouse & Distribution function, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant handling of all inbound, internal, and outbound materials
Maintain inventory integrity and traceability through accurate ERP transactions, effective stock control processes, and disciplined adherence to FIFO/FEFO
Ensure warehouse activities fully comply with the site Quality Management System
Drive a strong HSE culture through safe systems of work, hazard identification, MHE compliance, and proactive risk management
Supervise, coach, and develop warehouse colleagues, supporting skills growth, engagement, and cross‑functional collaboration
Identify opportunities to enhance operational flow, space utilisation, and efficiency through continuous improvement and Lean principles
Monitor and improve key warehouse KPIs, supporting the site's commitment to operational excellence and perfect order performance
Work collaboratively with Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, and Logistics to ensure smooth and reliable material flow supporting production demands
Requirements:
Experience in a warehouse, logistics, or material handling leadership role within manufacturing
Strong understanding of warehouse processes including goods in, goods out, stock control, and ERP transactions
Valid Fork Truck License (desirable Reach Truck)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build positive working relationships at all levels
A proactive, self-motivated approach with strong organisational, problem solving, and decision making abilities
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage performance, and drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement
Experience with Lean tools or continuous improvement methodologies (preferred)
A full clean UK driving licence (desirable)
Nice to have:
Valid Fork Truck License (desirable Reach Truck)
Experience with Lean tools or continuous improvement methodologies (preferred)
