Job Responsibility

  • Lead the day to day operation of the Warehouse & Distribution function, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant handling of all inbound, internal, and outbound materials
  • Maintain inventory integrity and traceability through accurate ERP transactions, effective stock control processes, and disciplined adherence to FIFO/FEFO
  • Ensure warehouse activities fully comply with the site Quality Management System
  • Drive a strong HSE culture through safe systems of work, hazard identification, MHE compliance, and proactive risk management
  • Supervise, coach, and develop warehouse colleagues, supporting skills growth, engagement, and cross‑functional collaboration
  • Identify opportunities to enhance operational flow, space utilisation, and efficiency through continuous improvement and Lean principles
  • Monitor and improve key warehouse KPIs, supporting the site's commitment to operational excellence and perfect order performance
  • Work collaboratively with Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, and Logistics to ensure smooth and reliable material flow supporting production demands

Requirements

  • Experience in a warehouse, logistics, or material handling leadership role within manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of warehouse processes including goods in, goods out, stock control, and ERP transactions
  • Valid Fork Truck License (desirable Reach Truck)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build positive working relationships at all levels
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with strong organisational, problem solving, and decision making abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage performance, and drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement
  • Experience with Lean tools or continuous improvement methodologies (preferred)
  • A full clean UK driving licence (desirable)

  • Valid Fork Truck License (desirable Reach Truck)
