The Supervisor- Warehouse Distribution is responsible for leading the shift in areas of shipping, loading, receiving, warehouse storage, product rotation, inventory accuracy, productivity, quality, and safety.
Job Responsibility:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the UNITED policies and applicable laws
Interview, hire, and train associates
Plan, assign, and direct work
Appraise performance
Address complaints and resolve problems
Builds positive associate morale
Coordinates all shipping/receiving along with transportation
Oversees all inventory control and product rotation
Manage Shipping/Receiving Department, Inventory, Repack, Gate, or Night Loading
Maintains responsibility for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the units listed above
Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
Accurately approve and maintain employee time approval
Manage employee scheduling such as vacation, sick, and requested time off
Train employees on OSHA monthly trainings
Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
Minimum age 18 years old
Minimum age 21 years old
Valid driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
Class A commercial driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
Ability to read, write and speak English
Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Proven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associates
Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school
or 12 months to 3 years related experience and/or training
or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to become certified in forklift, riding pallet jack, and motorized vehicles
Frequent standing and walking
Ability to work in a team environment, resolve conflicts, possess effective communication skills, i.e. verbal, reading and writing, as well as calculate figures and percentages
Ability to work safely and securely
Ability to demonstrate leadership, planning, and organizational skills
Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
