Reporting to the Manager of Warehouse, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day to day warehouse operations including the shipping and receiving of product. The Warehouse Supervisor ensures that the customer's needs are met through the timely and efficient movement of products and materials in a fast paced distribution environment.
Job Responsibility
Establishes priorities and directs loading workforce to satisfy customer demands
Plan and executes logistic needs with trucking firms to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of shipments, while minimizing freight cost
Responsible for full cycle weekly manning scheduling and hourly timecards, ensuring completed with a high accuracy and diligence
Implements and enforces processes aimed to create a maximum inventory consistency and accuracy
Reviews and resolves operational problems to minimize cost and prevent operational delays
Manages the assigned business metrics/ budgets including yield, labour efficiency, and overhead expenses
Demonstrates leadership to warehouse employees to ensure consistent quality of work
Maintains effective communication of expectations and goals throughout the Warehouse environment
Ensure compliance to all OHSA and environmental regulatory and corporate standards. Investigate and identify root causes of any non-compliance
Accountable for a safe working environment through the development of strategies focused on accident reduction as well as energy and waste minimization
Oversee effective deployment of human resources throughout the department and ensure the correct administration of the collective Bargaining Agreement
Back up to Warehouse Manager and their responsibilities
Requirements
Experience in Food/ Beverage Manufacturing preferred
Proven Leadership experience in a Warehouse environment
Must have proven work experience managing the hourly timecards & manning scheduling
Proficient in Excel, Word, SAP and Power Point
Forklift Trainer certification a highly deemed asset
HRIS experience with UltiPro an asset. Other timecard systems also a plus for transferable knowledge with ADP, KRONOS etc.
