Job Description:

Seeking a Staffing Supervisor to join our team! Supervises and coordinates the operations of Patient Placement, Staffing and Traveler Coordination. Provides support to the Director of Nursing and in a manner consistent with the Mission and Philosophy of Dignity Health.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supervises and coordinates the operations of Patient Placement, Staffing and Traveler Coordination
  • Provides support to the Director of Nursing
  • Perform non-clinical and administrative tasks for Nursing Staffing Office personnel (NSO) and float pool
  • Serves as a liaison between NSO, other department leadership, the Transfer Center as well as between Patient Placement, Revenue Integrity, and Care Coordination
  • Research and correct inaccurate patient placement orders
  • Supervises assigned personnel through performance management, qualified staff selection and training, and effective communication
  • Assesses and makes recommendations regarding daily operations and hospital throughput
  • Supervises programs, tools, and resources used by the department as well as performs audits and data tracking for various projects

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree upon hire and Three (3) years of experience in related field required
  • Equivalent combination of education upon hire and experience required
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Workspace and Cerner or EMR System, T.E.A.M. or similar staffing programs preferred
