The Supervisor of Respiratory Therapy/Pulmonary coordinates and plans all activities for respiratory services, pulmonary lab and pulmonary rehab within the departments and throughout the hospital. Uses independent judgment, adheres to standard operating procedures, and ensures positive interaction with the healthcare team. Leads the respiratory therapy team with confidence, meeting the employees‘ needs to do their work effectively. Coordinates activities with other department supervisors, so as to assure seamless support among the different cardiopulmonary modalities and transitions between shift. Is a leader – and accountable – in quality assurance and improvement for designated area and is responsible for all aspects of employee leadership including hiring, disciplinary action, scheduling, performance evaluation, and competency checks. Assists in the development of budgets and long range plans for the department. Performs therapy treatments as required to ensure that patient needs are met.

Requirements:
Associates degree
Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification
Certified Respiratory Therapist certification
Registered Respiratory Therapist certification
Basic Life Support certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification
Bachelor’s preferred
Minimum 3 years of Clinical/Leadership experience
Current Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist License in the State of Florida
