As a Loss Prevention Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of the Security and Loss Prevention team, ensuring that the service is delivered in compliance with Spanish Private Security regulations, internal policies, and the direct instructions of the Director of Security. You will act as the operational reference point of the department during your shift, ensuring a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and facilities, always aligned with The Ritz-Carlton Gold Standards.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinating the daily activities of the security team (shift handovers, patrols, critical areas, assigned posts)
Ensuring compliance with service instructions, internal procedures, and legal requirements under Spanish Private Security regulations
Supervising punctuality, professional appearance, TIP accreditation, and service standards of the team
Conducting regular operational patrols in critical areas to detect deviations and potential risks
Acting as the first escalation point for operational incidents and reporting relevant matters immediately to the Director of Security
Managing and following up on security incidents with operational, reputational, or interdepartmental impact
Leading the initial response to emergencies, evacuations, and activations of the Self-Protection Plan
Coordinating the team during drills and real incidents
Participating in internal investigations related to security or loss prevention matters
Escalating any sensitive or high-impact incident to the Director of Security prior to formal closure
Supervising the correct use of CCTV, access control, alarm, and other security systems
Ensuring that image processing and data handling comply with LOPDGDD and applicable regulations
Conducting periodic audits of security systems to verify functionality and proper operation
Reporting any anomaly, download, access, or technical issue to the Director of Security
Reviewing daily reports, incident logs, patrol records, checklists, and access control documentation
Safeguarding sensitive documentation in accordance with data protection and internal protocols
Monitoring compliance with PRL (Occupational Risk Prevention) measures within the team
Reporting risks, incidents, or near-misses to the Director of Security and Prevention Service
Supporting Coordination of Business Activities (CAE) with contractors in line with RD 171/2004
Supporting the onboarding and operational training of new or reinforcement staff
Identifying operational gaps and proposing corrective measures
Ensuring mandatory training compliance (PRL, first aid, internal procedures)
Maintaining a culture of vigilance, professionalism, and continuous improvement within the team
Maintaining close communication with Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, F&B, and Operational Management
Supervising key control procedures, restricted access areas, opening/closing protocols, and asset protection measures
Supporting monthly service reviews with the external security provider
Requirements:
Official qualification in Security
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in private security, ideally in supervisory or operational management roles
Previous experience in hotel environments or high public exposure operations (resorts, tourist complexes, events)
Solid knowledge of Spanish Private Security regulations, CCTV/data protection regulations, PRL, and self-protection plans
Operational leadership, strong decision-making skills, and conflict management abilities
Intermediate level of English (Spanish fluent required)
PRL Preventive Resource (60h) certification or commitment to obtain it within the first months
First Aid and AED (DESA) certification
Proficiency in professional IT tools (Microsoft Office, reporting tools, incident management systems)
Availability to work full-time, including weekends and rotating morning/afternoon-night shifts
Valid work permit for Spain
