Job Description:

The Supervisor-Kitchen is responsible for overseeing and coordinating kitchen operations and staff at Renaissance Xian Hotel. The role includes ensuring food quantity, quality, and presentation standards, as well as assisting in the management of staff hiring, training, and development. Additionally, adherence to safety policies is required, and candidates must maintain professional appearance and physical endurance for extended kitchen tasks.

Job Responsibility:

Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers
determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays
ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish
monitor the quantity of food that is prepared
inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items
prepare special meals or substitute items
assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks
maintain kitchen logs for food safety program and food products
monitor stock of kitchen supplies and food
ensure the quality of food items
notify a manager if a product does not meet specifications.

Requirements:

Nice to have:

4 to 6 years of related work experience
at least 2 years of supervisory experience
technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
