As Supervisor II, Production, you are a leader who is willing to listen and inspire others by your actions. Your role as Supervisor II, Production positions you to be directly involved in the physical production that enables Baxter to fulfill our mission to save and sustain lives. You own the line between meeting production timelines and making quality products. As a manager, you are the trusted critical connection between the business and the workers on the floor. Job Responsibility:
Ensure effective employee relations. Provide employee coaching and development. Resolve employee issues. Complete objective setting and performance reviews in a timely manner.
Ensure the Environmental, Health and Safety framework is understood and followed by all employees. Ensure a Zero Harm work environment!
Build accident reports and perform accident investigations. Implement corrective actions.
Balance quality, efficiency, cost, delivery, and employee morale to achieve desired results in all areas. Work to continuously improve all areas. Follow lean manufacturing methods (lean daily management, eliminate waste, make problems visible etc.).
Ensure all regulatory requirements are met (complete and accurate training records, MPS, SOP’s, work instructions, DHR, signature records). Participate in Be-Ready quality audits.
Review production plan, moving labor to meet schedule attainment.
Handle departmental performance metrics, including Tier 1 (cell measure boards) and Tier 2 (Gemba boards).
Provide leadership to the Gemba teams by conducting daily meetings, weekly project meetings and 5S audits.
Requirements:
HS diploma / GED with 7 or more years of leadership experience OR Associate’s degree with 3 or more years of leadership experience.
Experience in Manufacturing/Production environment desired.
Excellent verbal and written communication and mentoring skills.
Ability to problem solve and work cross-functionally.
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
Strong supervisory and leadership abilities.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Ability to read and analyze information.
Adept at balancing multiple tasks simultaneously.
