Job Description:

Support all care teams across the organization in comprehensive and targeted chart reviews to facilitate efficient and effective medical care for patients. Partner with regional and central leaders to support chart review workflow optimization. Act as an expert on all CDS related matters including training, ongoing audits and assistance with implementation of new CDS workflows and queries.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead a team of up to 8 CDSs
  • Ongoing audits and feedback for CDSs in pod
  • Routine 1:1s
  • Point person for suspecting questions from CDSs within their pod
  • Conduct bi-weekly pod meetings
  • New CDS onboarding
  • Quarterly Slide Training for CDS Onboarding
  • Documentation Reviews and Suspecting
  • Chart reviews for high priority / new providers / first WRVs / targeted lists
  • Partnership with program leaders on general chart review support and strategies for region
  • Access and review HIE/EMRs to identify potential suspects
  • Identify need for medical records requests from patient information
  • Be an expert in tracking down and leveraging external resources
  • Identify regional trends and training opportunities
  • Identify and analyze opportunities for improving patient quality outcomes and cost of care
  • Analyze chronic condition prevalence based on patient demographics
  • Structure initiatives to drive improvement in quality and risk adjustment documentation results
  • Monitor clinical documentation efforts
  • Develop predictive analytics insights

Requirements:

  • At least 6 months experience as a CDS
  • Ease and expertise working with multiple technical systems
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and engage in multiple perspectives
  • Proven experience and ability to build relationships with Providers
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Self-starter with high degree of drive, initiative, and follow through
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short-and long-range goals
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to company vision
  • Expert in accurate and specific documentation
  • US work authorization
