Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting the Contracts Manager by ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of operational workstreams
  • Fostering a customer-focused and safety-first culture
  • Leading a team of operatives, overseeing daily performance, resource planning, and service quality
  • Managing sickness, absence, and disciplinary matters in line with company policies
  • Conducting safety inspections
  • Investigating incidents
  • Ensuring asset compliance
  • Maintaining high standards across all operations
  • Mentoring staff
  • Identifying training needs
  • Promoting continuous improvement
  • Ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to KPIs, GDPR, and company values
  • Participation in the call-out rota
  • Undertaking additional duties as needed

Requirements:

  • ILM Level 3 in Leadership and Management or equivalent qualifications, and or demonstratable experience
  • Driving Licence
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the assigned workstreams, and reading, working with, and conducting risk assessments
  • Asbestos Awareness and CAT B Removal
  • IOSH Managing Safely certification
  • Demonstrated expertise in HR processes—such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and conflict resolution
  • Experience in accident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Confident leader with excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in digital tools and IT systems
  • Adaptability to changing demands
  • Customer-focused, safety-first mindset
