Baxterstorey is seeking a friendly and customer-focused Barista to join our team in Woking, United Kingdom. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting delicious coffee beverages and providing an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, including espresso-based beverages, using high-quality ingredients and proper techniques
Operate and maintain espresso machines, coffee grinders, and other brewing equipment
Provide friendly and efficient customer service, greeting customers and taking orders with a smile
Handle cash transactions accurately and operate point-of-sale systems
Educate customers about our coffee products, including bean origins and flavor profiles
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking supplies as needed
Create visually appealing latte art to enhance the customer experience
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
Assist in overseeing all day to day functions
Willing to learn and develop for your next move
Requirements:
Proven experience in coffee preparation techniques and ability to craft high-quality espresso-based beverages
Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Basic math skills and accuracy in cash handling
Knowledge of different coffee beans, roasts, and brewing methods preferred
Food safety awareness and commitment to maintaining a clean work environment
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous barista experience preferred but not required
Food handling certification is a plus
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
