Our Client is a multi-award-winning law firm that has been disrupting the legal sector for the last 20 years, and are now considered Top Tier within multiple practice areas. They are looking for someone to join their Supervision and Compliance team with previous experience working at a Law firm, either as a Lawyer with experience around Complaints and Claims, or someone who has experience in a law firm performing the following: Carrying out file reviews; Handling complaints; Identifying themes, risks and problem areas arising from those matters; Supporting risk-based and intelligence-led decision-making across the firm. The work will be cross-practice and varied, covering a broad range of legal disciplines. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong Claims or Complaints background within a law firm or a Lawyer/Solicitor who is looking to move into the GC function within a law firm. For this role, our client is particularly interested in Lawyers who have come from a litigation background.

Job Responsibility

  • Dealing with client complaints from initial review through to resolution
  • Identifying trends, recurring issues and areas of concern arising from complaints and reviews
  • Helping to improve and develop the firm’s file review processes
  • Providing support on risk-related matters as they arise

Requirements

  • At least 5 years’ PQE or relevant experience within a law firm
  • Significant experience working in law firms and a strong understanding of law firm culture, structure and risk
  • Strong experience in dealing with Claims and Complaints within a law firm, or coming from a litigation or similar legal background.
  • Excellent judgement and the ability to take a calm, balanced and commercial approach to problems.
