Job Description:

An esteemed Independent Fostering Agency (IFA) is currently seeking a dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. This agency is celebrated for its "Outstanding" Ofsted rating and a unique operational structure that allows practitioners to focus on high-quality relationship building. The primary goal is to empower foster carers through intensive, high-level support, ensuring children in placement receive the highest standard of care. The role offers a manageable caseload, allowing for meaningful intervention. Practitioners work alongside Behaviour Specialists, Health Professionals, and Educational Advisers to provide a holistic support network.

Job Responsibility:

  • Delivering intensive, monthly supervision sessions to a designated caseload of approved foster carers
  • Conducting a mix of planned and unannounced visits to monitor the welfare of children and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Designing and reviewing bespoke annual training plans to enhance the professional development and resilience of carers
  • Maintaining strict adherence to the Fostering Services (England) Regulations 2011 and National Minimum Standards
  • Contributing to the out-of-hours (OOH) telephone duty rota, providing essential guidance to carers during evenings and weekends (approx. 2-3 times per month)
  • Collaborating with dedicated Support Workers who assist with practical tasks, such as 1:1 emotional support and transport for children
