Job Description:

Supervising Social Worker role within an Outstanding-rated Independent Fostering Agency (IFA) in the West Midlands. The role is designed to provide intensive support to foster carers to enable them to provide the very best quality of care to vulnerable children. The agency offers manageable caseloads, exceptional specialist support (Behaviour Specialists, Health Professionals, Educational Advisors, Support Workers), and a hybrid working pattern requiring one office-based day per week.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing monthly supervision to foster carers
  • Undertaking planned and unannounced visits to children in placement
  • Formulating training and development plans for carers
  • Working in accordance with the Fostering Services (England) Regulations 2011 and the Fostering Services National Minimum Standards 2011
  • Being part of a duty rota (usually 2-3 times a month) to support the running of the service both within and outside of normal office hours

Requirements:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker
  • MA/BA in social work/DipSW/CQSW is essential
  • Must be a car driver with their own car
