Job Description

Are you a dedicated Social Worker passionate about supporting kinship families? Cardiff Council is looking for an experienced Supervising Social Worker to join their Kinship team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and their carers.

Job Responsibility

  • Completing Connected Person Assessments and Special Guardianship Assessments, including conversion assessments for carers pursuing a Special Guardianship arrangement
  • Assessing both potential kinship arrangements and currently approved foster carers
  • Clearly explaining the benefits and differences of becoming a Kinship foster carer or Special Guardian to child(ren)'s carers

Requirements

  • A Social Work Degree or equivalent relevant degree
  • At least 3+ years of experience working with children in the UK
  • Registered with Social Care Wales
  • An up-to-date DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service)
