Job Description:

Are you an experienced Qualified Social Worker with a background in fostering? Do you have a solid understanding of fostering regulations and want to be part of a supportive, flexible team? We have a fantastic Locum Fostering Social Work Opportunity available within a Mainstream Fostering Team, offering hybrid working and a supportive environment. You'll be working within a mainstream fostering service, supporting foster carers, undertaking assessments, and ensuring compliance with fostering regulations to deliver safe, stable placements for children in care.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support and supervise foster carers
  • Undertake fostering assessments and reviews
  • Ensure all work is in line with fostering regulations and national minimum standards
  • Work closely with internal teams and partner agencies to support placement stability
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality records and reports

Requirements:

  • Social Work England registration
  • Mainstream fostering experience
  • Working knowledge of fostering legislation and regulations
  • Previous experience in a Senior Social Worker post - desirable but not essential
  • Confident, self-motivated, and capable of managing a busy caseload
