Job Responsibility

  • Supports the day-to-day operations of a retail dining location
  • Ensures exceptional customer service and maintains high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and product quality while leading a team of student employees
  • Directly supervises student employees, trains, assists with scheduling, and manages a retail dining operation, acting as a liaison between students, staff, and the dining management team
  • Supports and oversees the daily operations of a retail/convenience store dining location
  • Maintains accurate records of operational procedures and inventory procedures
  • Works closely with leaders and peers to plan and implement special promotions, retail item updates, or events that enhance the customer experience
  • Assists with monitoring and assessing customer flow, adjusting staffing levels and operational procedures to meet demand
  • Ensures efficient and timely service at all times
  • Assists leader with building a positive work environment
  • Conducts routine operational meetings with student employees in the absence of the leader
  • Directly supervises student employment staff to ensure excellent customer service and productivity

  • Makes financial recommendations to the manager based on operations for the annual capital budget process

  • Ensures adherence to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Ensures sanitation requirements, quality standards, and department goals are met and the work is completed in a timely and cost-effective manner

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a retail, food services, or dining operations role required
