A key leadership role sits within the Civil Network Operations team and has responsibility for the Blackwater Depot. Based in Blackwater, which is a non-negotiable requirement, the Superintendent will be a visible and engaged leader with a transparent, supportive and passionate approach. The role provides leadership across Operations and rail activities by optimising organisational productivity, driving continuous process improvement, leading change initiatives, and building people capability to deliver the business strategy and plan.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and champion a safety culture
Provide leadership and coaching of direct reports
Provide coaching, expert advice and support to direct reports
Develop potential successors and influence operational strategy
Apply conceptual and analytical skills to enhance and optimise delivery of services
Manage financial and operational budgets, resources, on time performance and safety
Manage, lead and set priorities around scheduled, unscheduled, response and emergency requirements
Requirements:
Solid experience in rail environments
Strong knowledge of rail operations, including coordination, terminal activities and infrastructure
Comfortable managing budgets, solving problems and adapting to changing priorities
Sound commercial awareness and confidence using operational systems
Collaborative communication style
Ability to influence outcomes and build agreement across teams
