ESI's Superintendent assumes a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day functions of construction sites and projects. With the authority to facilitate daily coordination and guidance for work execution, they ensure its safety, adherence to budget, timely completion, alignment with the company's quality standards, effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, and ensure overall customer satisfaction. Their responsibilities encompass meticulous planning and scheduling of activities, coordinating with subcontractors, and being a direct leadership representation.
Job Responsibility:
Project Planning and Scheduling: Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to create detailed short interval project schedules
Organize and coordinate resources, materials, and subcontractors
Participate in Owner, Architect, and Contractor meetings
On-Site Supervision: Oversee and direct construction activities on the site
Manage and supervise a team of construction workers, subcontractors, and other personnel
Safety and Quality Control: Communicates expectations, enforces policies, and completes/submits records
Develops/modifies JHA’s for the project
Complete work area inspections and conduct weekly safety meetings
Monitor and maintain quality standards
Budget and Cost Management: Monitor project budgets and expenses
Identify potential cost-saving measures
Reporting and Documentation: Generate regular progress reports
Keep detailed records of all construction activities
Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during construction
Compliance and Permits: Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and permits
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
3-5 years’ Construction Superintendent experience is preferred
Comprehensive understanding of plans, specifications, and building codes
