The primary role of a Warehouse Superintendent is to oversee the day-to-day operation of a Parts Distribution Center. Superintendent is expected to work closely with Plant Manager to ensure the following.

Responsible for managing all operations: Inbound, outbound, claims processing, building maintenance
Responsible for delivering objectives including but not limited to: Building Safety, positive UAW Relationships, Error Rate, Denial Rate, Inventory Accuracy, Overtime Percentage, Absenteeism, Vacation Scheduling, Grid Time, On Time Delivery, ISO 14001 Environmental Responsibilities, LPMH, Process Adherence/Improvement, Accountability, Customer Satisfaction, Accurate Application of the Ford-UAW National and Local Contracts
Supervision/training of GSR 6/7 Staff and Supervisors, Overall Building Organization and Cleanliness, Grievance Resolution, Willingness to Work ALL shifts as required
Cover crews in supervisor's absence
Attend, facilitate, and submit proper documentation for crew meetings
Prepare/maintain work related records as needed
Schedule manpower (including overtime and vacation)
Work in close alignment with the Regional Manager and Plant Manager to drive the consistent and timely execution of warehouse tasks and performance metrics
Effectively manage warehouse deadlines and timelines, demonstrating adaptability in the face of planned and unplanned complexities
Including operational business plans, manage depot budgets, inventory management, facility management, and liaison for all external partners
Supervise and develop material control supervisors
Responsible for managing all operations including but not limited to inbound, outbound, claims processing, building maintenance, UAW relationships, and transportation personnel
Champion and lead quality continuous improvement initiatives toward best-in-class performance
Deliver objectives related to safety, quality, efficiency, absenteeism, inventory accuracy and cost
Responsible for all operations metrics including lost time incidents, error rate, denials, inbound cycle time, inventory accuracy, grid times, and on-time delivery
Maintain a consistent and positive working relationship with UAW employees and committee, including fair and consistent employee accountability, vacation scheduling and administration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
3-5 years of experience within a plant or warehouse environment
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to ensure accountability from all employees
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Must have demonstrated ability to lead and motivate employees (Hourly & Salaried)
Working knowledge of Windows programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access etc.)
Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn current systems (SAP/EWM)
Ability to interpret data, evaluate actions, and reach logical conclusions independently
Goal oriented and continuous Improvement mindset with a focus on quality and reduced costs
Nice to have:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Minimum 1 year leadership experience preferred
Minimum 3 years operational/distribution experience preferred
Minimum 3 years working with the UAW/Teamster workforce and contract
