Requirements

Minimum high school/GED and 15 years total construction management experience (with at least five years design/build experience with electrical systems) required
Four-year degree in building science, construction management or engineering and 10 years total construction management experience (with minimum five years design/build experience with electrical systems) preferred
Strong leadership and management skills required
Deep knowledge and understanding of mechanical systems required
Excellent technical and management skills
Strong client relations skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage costs and control schedule

Job Responsibility

Works closely with Project Superintendent and Project Manager, and home office Electrical Procurement Coordinator as required, in formulating, discussing and finalizing the overall plan of operations, job layout, job schedule, etc.
Manages the day-to-day work of crafts and subcontractors in field, delegates work through foreman and/or subcontractor representatives
Maintains regular communications with project staff to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule
Reviews plans and specifications of job, job budget and estimate with project manager and project superintendent
Participates in weekly progress meetings with subcontractors
Assists in preparation of plan at beginning of job for receiving, storing and handling materials
Assists in resolving construction problems (lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc.)
Maintains best possible relationship with owner and architectural-engineering firm associated with job
Performs additional assignments per Project Manager’s and Project Superintendent’s direction
