The American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan is seeking undergraduate interns for the 2026 summer season. This internship position is interdisciplinary, and interns will work with our legal, political, and communications departments. In addition to a vibrant and innovative culture, the ACLU of Michigan offers interns a rewarding summer experience.
Job Responsibility:
Work with legal, political, and communications departments
Projects may include work related to our democracy project, legal intake, legal and legislative research, and drafting communications assets
Requirements:
Must be an undergraduate student during the time of the internship
Strong organization, writing, and communication skills
Commitment to civil liberties and civil rights
Respect for differences of race, ethnicity, age, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, religion, ability, and socio-economic circumstance
Dependable and motivated to seek feedback, ask questions, and work through challenges
Nice to have:
Familiarity with computer databases
