Summer Resident Advisor

• Build positive relationships and foster community with engagement strategies from our Residential Curriculum
• Assist in resolving student conflicts and referring students to appropriate resources
• Exhibit strong communication skills in group and individual settings
• Plan and implement experiences and events that meet specific community goals
• Assist with facility management tasks such as walkthroughs, key audits, etc
• Maintain safety and security by enforcing policy, conducting walkthroughs, and responding to calls
• Demonstrate knowledge of EKU residence hall structure, policies, and procedures
• Evaluate crises and respond appropriately
• Participate in the on-call rotation for summer students in the residence halls
• Provide support during the opening and closing of summer residence halls
• Provide excellent service and hospitality to summer residents and their guests
• Attend required trainings, staff meetings, and supervision meetings to enhance service delivery and team collaboration
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Experiencing living on a college campus
• Leadership experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Time management and organizational abilities
• Have a minimum 2.50 cumulative GPA and be a full-time EKU student (enrolled in at least 12 credit hours as an undergraduate student or 9 credit hours as a graduate student) for the Fall 2026 semester, or be enrolled in summer courses
• Must be in good judicial standing with the University.

Compensation includes a $1100 stipend and provided housing in the summer residence hall.
