Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Intern and develop your leadership skills within the Air & Ocean Product services located at our Chicago Branch within DHL Global Forwarding. Our Summer Internship Program is designed to enhance your business acumen through continuous learning and networking opportunities. As an intern, you can expect to learn and gain exposure to: Cross-functional collaboration, Organizational design fundamentals, Performance measurement and execution, Accounts Receivable processes, Process evaluation and optimization, Business profitability analysis.

Job Responsibility

  • Gateway Operations Import & Export
  • Gain familiarization of Gateway functionality of Cargo Mix & ULD Optimization
  • Determine the carrier and ground handler functionality and relationship
  • Learn how to navigate and analyze the business unit’s profitability & financials
  • Analyze warehouse work and process flow
  • Conduct dwell time calculation and identify areas for improvement
  • Complete workflow reviews and present optimization projects

Requirements

Current 3rd or 4th-year university/college student enrolled in a 4-year degree program
