You will learn what it takes to work with a team to develop, permit, market, procure, contract, engineer, schedule, budget, and construct utility-scale renewable energy projects with a focus on the western United States.
Job Responsibility:
Permitting utility scale solar and energy storage projects in California
Organizing financial metrics for utility scale solar and energy storage projects in Washington and Oregon to help in project strategy
Working with interdepartmental teams to gather and review appropriate documentation for permit issuance and compliance
Reviewing and presenting to internal teams on project requirements during construction and operation
Will work with GIS software to map out potential project layout and land targets
Summarize and consolidate potential financial offers that can be made to landowners
Requirements:
Current undergraduate (Junior or Senior) or graduate student in Business (Finance), Urban/Regional Planning, Engineering, Environmental Science, or similar
Experience and substantive coursework in both technical and business programs
Proficient with MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS and Google Earth software preferred
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
High attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
Ability to work productively with limited supervision
Time-management skills
Strong interest in renewable energy, environmental issues, and the energy industry
Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment
Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form
Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
