Arcfield's intern program is designed to provide college students a meaningful, in-person work experience in aerospace-related systems engineering. Our goal is to build a roadmap that leads to a long, rewarding, and successful career. Interns typically represent college students trying to gain related work experience while pursuing a relevant undergraduate degree. For college students considering a career supporting national defense and intelligence missions, this internship is a tremendous opportunity for experience solving complex, technical challenges using the latest tools, trends, and techniques.
Job Responsibility:
Assigned projects supporting the organization's professional staff in such disciplines as Models Based Systems Engineering, Remote Sensing, Orbit Dynamics, Data Analytics, Modeling & Simulation, Project Management and more
Report to the Arcfield facility in King of Prussia, PA for the 10-week, 40 hour per week internship
Have a designated, personal mentor who will assign and guide them through various challenging projects
Conclude with a final cumulative presentation detailing the projects’ accomplishments
Have frequent communication and interaction with their mentor
Expected to execute most project tasking independently and/or in collaboration with other interns
Requirements:
Must be actively pursuing a 4-year degree at an accredited university with a degree in Engineering (e.g., aerospace, mechanical, electrical, computer/software, sensor, systems), Computer Science, Data Science, Imaging Science, Mathematics, Physics, or other related technical fields
Strong analytical skills
enjoys solving complex, challenging problems
Experience in writing code
High degree of computer literacy
Experience with Python, R, Matlab, or similar
Experience with data analysis and visualization tools/concepts
Experience with Data Mining, Analysis, Performance Analysis, Predictive Analytics and Reporting using various methods and tools
Interest in orbit dynamics, remote sensing, or image science
Strong presentation and communication skills
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
