AXS is looking for a motivated and curious UX Research Intern to join our team as a summer intern. In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting research across our B2C fan experience on axs.com along with our B2B client-facing tools which help Ticketing Managers create and manage events, Marketers promote them, and venue, concert, and sports partners access reporting and insights. At AXS, UX research is a collaborative effort between Product Designers and User Researchers. As an intern, you’ll work closely with experienced researchers and designers, learning how research informs product decisions and improves the user experience for our clients. This internship is designed to give you exposure to real-world research projects, mentorship from experienced professionals, and opportunities to develop practical skills in planning, conducting, and communicating research.
Job Responsibility:
Support UX research projects that inform improvements to AXS B2C and B2B products
Assist in planning and conducting qualitative research (e.g., interviews, usability tests)
Help prepare study materials such as discussion guides, surveys, and test plans
Observe and help moderate research sessions
Take notes and assist with organizing research findings
Help analyze data and identify key themes and insights
Contribute to reports, presentations, and research summaries shared with Product and Design teams
Learn how research connects to product strategy, analytics, and client needs
Gain exposure to client personas such as Ticketing Managers, Marketers, and Promoters — and understand the “jobs to be done” for each
Learn to use a variety of research and collaboration tools (e.g., Google Suite, Excel, user testing platforms like Lyssna, and AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT Enterprise and Dovetail)
Requirements:
Currently pursuing a degree in Human–Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Sociology, Human Factors, Design, or a related field
Coursework or academic experience in user research, research methods, or design thinking
Interest in both qualitative and quantitative research methods
Strong curiosity about how people use digital products
Comfort organizing information and identifying patterns in data
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn
The internship requires a minimum of 24 hours per week during the Summer
Nice to have:
Passion for live events, music, sports, or entertainment is a plus
