The Payments Compliance team is responsible for advising the Merchant Payment Services (MPS) business line on consumer protection and conduct risk requirements, and supporting its compliance with external requirements, and internal policies and procedures. The team administers and participates in various corporate control programs on behalf of the MPS’ business line and liaises with first line and second line colleagues to ensure appropriate risk management through these programs.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting as a liaison between material owners and compliance oversight groups to facilitate an effective, efficient Compliance Material Review and Approval (CMRA) program
Tracking and monitoring the status of material reviews and communicating with material owners to meet outstanding requirements in a timely manner
Supporting training, educating and communicating program process, rules and related regulations to material owners and the business lines
Advising and supporting the MPS business line as necessary on consumer protection and conduct risk requirements, policies and procedures, including the UK Consumer Duty
Supporting the work of the Payments Compliance team as needed in the areas of e.g., sales practices oversight, accessibility requirements and errors and complaints
Requirements:
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree Business & Law, Business Mgt, International Business/Commerce with a target completion date of May 2027/2028
Understanding of financial and payments market
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Attention to detail
Ability to start summer internship on 1 Jun 2026
