The Cybersecurity Programs & Member Engagement Intern is a full-time, paid summer position reporting to the Proactive Security team. FS-ISAC's communities of interest (COIs) are member-driven groups organized around sub-sectors, geographies, and topics including AI risk, post-quantum cryptography, cloud security, and insider threat. This role sits at the center of how FS-ISAC convenes and enables those communities, supporting the team responsible for facilitating collaborative defense across the global financial sector.
Job Responsibility:
Support the operations and coordination of active FS-ISAC communities of interest, including tracking participation, outputs, and member engagement
Conduct research and analysis to assess community health, member needs, and alignment with FS-ISAC's strategic priorities
Assist with the development of frameworks, governance documentation, and operational materials that support existing and new communities
Engage with internal stakeholders and member community participants to gather input and surface insights
Contribute to planning and preparation for community calls, working groups, and member-facing activities
Present work and findings to senior leadership at the end of the program
Requirements:
Must be a rising junior or senior currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program, with a concentration in business, communications, international affairs, political science, public policy, information science, economics, international affairs, or a closely related discipline
Strong research, writing, and organizational skills with comfort synthesizing qualitative and quantitative input
Experience with community management, member organizations, or professional associations is a plus
Familiarity with cybersecurity or financial services is helpful but not required
Must be authorized to work in the United States
