We are seeking Center Directors to ensure the delivery of our exciting international summer school program in our Summer Schools in North America for 2026 Summer. The MLA Center Director is a full-time, seasonal position (mid-June until mid-August). As the Center Director, you would be the main point of contact at an MLA Summer School and responsible for all operations and employees. You will reside on campus and monitor the safety and well-being of international high school students attending our cultural immersion program.
Job Responsibility:
Responsible for the overall Management of the Summer School
Reports to Operations Manager
Reside on campus for the duration of the program
Oversee nightly on-call responsibilities
Monitor the safety and well-being of international high school students
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional Center Office
Oversee the efficient completion of all duties of all staff
Ensure all program components are properly planned and delivered
Work with Director of Studies to confirm tuition program standards
Hold meetings with Group Leaders
Monitor student and staff safety and welfare
Establish emergency evacuation plans
Maintain 24-hour on-call emergency assistance
Address guest or staff concerns
Oversee Medical Doctor
Prepare center for inspections
Deliver comprehensive Center induction
Host Group Leader meetings
Oversee program set-up
Direct set-up of student rooms
Maintain log of meetings and guest feedback
Oversee Master Center Excel file
Complete Airport Transfer Check
Assist with sending Center SMS
Oversee collection of student passports and security deposits
Verify program expenses
Ensure weekly staff schedules are accurate
Submit bi-weekly payroll reports
Hold regular staff meetings
Perform end-of-program staff evaluations and program report
Develop relationship with college/university
Ensure grievance procedures are adhered to
Maintain communication with Operations Manager
Develop communication with Group Leaders
Support off-campus excursions
Support on-campus activities
Supervise Residence Hall
Apply fines for damages
Support MLA mission and code of conduct
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
