Job Description:

Job Responsibility:

  • Teach the KidStrong curriculum
  • Ensure camp starts and ends on schedule
  • Greet students and parents
  • Maintain dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor
  • Demonstrate and manage implementation of various exercises
  • Keep accurate record of attendance
  • Ensure cleanliness of center
  • Use KS Coach’s App to record data
  • Communicate professionally via Slack
  • Complete training through KidStrong University
  • Work in physically intensive environment
  • Work hands-on with kids
  • Attend additional mandatory staff meetings
  • Obtain camp-certified status
  • Supervise, ensure safety, and implement program for campers

Requirements:

  • Passion for working with children is non-negotiable
  • Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age is preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred
  • CPR certified
  • Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills

  • Ideal candidate must also be comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding any incidents that take place during camp
  • Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through camp, lift and repeatedly moving equipment up to 25 pounds in weight
  • Must be comfortable working hands-on with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety.
