Passion for working with children is non-negotiable!
Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age is preferred
Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
Self-starter who just gets a job done

Must be 17 years old or older
We are looking for a camp coach with an athletic or coaching background who ideally has experience in summer camps or coaching kids ages 4 - 9
Ideal candidate must also be comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding any incidents that take place during camp
Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through camp, lift and repeatedly moving equipment up to 25 pounds in weight
Must be comfortable working hands-on with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety.

Job Responsibility

Camp sizes of up to 20 children, ages ranging from 4 - 9
Teach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team
Must be able to ensure camp both start and ends on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum
Greet students as well as parent(s)/guardian(s) as they arrive to camp
Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading camp
Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises
Keep an accurate record of attendance at all times
Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack, our company messaging system, including periodic checks of messages when not in centers
Complete training through LearnUpon as required by the HQ Training and Certification team
Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through camp, lift and repeatedly moving equipment up to 25 pounds in weight

Requirements

Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred
CPR certified
Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
Self-starter
