The Suggested Ordering Manager will oversee the accuracy and efficiency of the PDI SA Suggested Ordering tool and other related systems, supporting key departments like Operations and Marketing. Daily responsibilities include training users, maintaining delivery schedules and audits, improving processes, and ensuring optimal stock levels to drive sales.
Job Responsibility:
Ensures accuracy of the PDI SA Suggested Ordering tool and store orders by ensuring the correct POGs and SKUs are actively assigned to each store in the tool
Creates surveys and maintains these surveys for the collection of Site POG Attributes
Creates import spreadsheets to load the updated POG/Store Layouts when changes occur
Train and support the Operations and Marketing departments in the use of the PDI Focal Point reporting system
Analyzes site-by-site information pertaining to the accuracy of the sets assigned
Trains the Operations and Marketing team on how to use the SA Suggested Order tool for ordering, scan audits, and sales forecast event adjustments
Investigates site Day on Hand (Safety Stock) issues and makes recommendations of change
Maintains delivery schedules in the tool for Wholesaler, and DSD suppliers for each site
Maintains scan audit calendar and reports on compliance
Maintains PDI Alerts & Notifications settings in the tool
Coordinates the implementation of new items the company will sell and removal of old/discontinued items
Works with all company levels to improve the automated ordering system
Reviews overall and by category Days on Hand reporting to optimize working capital inventory
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing financial and key result area targets
Supports Operations and Marketing for various events involving suggested ordering tools
Looks for opportunities to improve the process, performance, and accuracy related to PDI SA Suggested Ordering Tool activities
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred. Other combinations of job-related experience and education that meet the requirements may be substituted
Five to seven years of experience or more preferred, including at least three years of management responsibility
Must be able to travel locally as needed
Must possess a Driver’s License and the ability to drive to multiple store locations
Must have a working knowledge of PDI Enterprise software including Focal Point and store level PDI Store Assistant
Must be Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
General supply chain knowledge & understanding
Must possess strong analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Must always maintain a positive team attitude and professional demeanor
Must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities as described above
